OUR STORY
Since starting my wedding photography journey in 2018, I have tried many approaches to wedding photography pricing.
Some of my offerings included:
- Having 3 set packages strictly based on time
- Expanding those packages to 8 packages, based on time but also with add-ons like albums & engagement sessions (this got to be a lot of choices)
- Giving custom quotes to EACH person that inquired. I would do a phone call first, and often it felt like they were just trying to get a number from me
- Having packages with flex pricing depending on time of year that people inquired.
WHY ONE WEDDING PACKAGE?
None of these things were “wrong” however, in this season of my business, I am craving transparency and simplicity.
I want my clients to feel that we are going to be a good fit before they inquire. I don’t want us to start our relationship out with them feeling awkward about asking the elephant-in-the-room-question of “so…how much does this cost?”
I want to have more simplicity in my life that allows me to spend less time on calls with “potential” clients, and more time pouring into the clients I already have.
I want there to be less friction in the inquiry process because clients already know what I am offering.
Having one wedding package allows for clients to book without having to make the painful decision of how many hours to choose months before they know their wedding timeline. It allows clients to feel at ease knowing they don’t have to rush their day to make sure it gets photographed in a 6-hour time frame.
Overall, this approach allows us to offer the absolute most value to our clients, while providing a high-end luxury experience.
