Cove Salon is a downtown Kelowna hair salon. Maddie & Taya are both talented hairstylists with *exquisite* taste. They have created a space that is modern, spacious and clean. When it came to taking brand photos, they had a vision for moody-modern aesthetic photos. One thing that I loved about their session is that it was beyond the traditional headshot approach. We took photos that they will be able to use for different areas of their business, not just their profile picture!

HEADSHOTS TO START:

While the focus of the session was not *just* images of Maddie & Taya, we did want to get some good photos for them. We started with these when hair & makeup was fresh. For variety, we did some with natural light, and some with direct flash.

AESTHETIC / BRAND STOCK PHOTOS

When it comes to brand photography, it can be helpful to think of the photos you are taking as creating your own personal stock photo / pinterest gallery. We spent a portion of the session creating photos that were aesthetic & on brand, but that were not just focused on the girls’ faces.
