Intimate British Columbia Wedding

This wedding was originally supposed to have a large guest list but due to covid, the couple had to make different arrangements. They switched to a more intimate wedding, with the only guests being their wedding party and immediate family members.

A few weeks before the wedding was supposed to take place, the bride, Natalie contacted me and asked if we would be willing to make a couple of adjustments to the timeline. She explained that because of the changes they had to make due to covid, she wanted to add in something special for her groom, Lael. Her plan? A SURPRISE HELICOPTER RIDE directly following the ceremony!

The plan went seamlessly. Natalie had explained what section of the property the helicopter would be arriving, so we made sure to go there to take the family photos there directly following the ceremony. We ended the family photos, and I started taking a few shots of just the couple. In the distance, you could hear a slight buzz of the helicopter approaching, but we continued taking photos until Lael turned his head around and realized it was landing directly in the field behind them. Natalie shared the news and his reaction of pure excitement was priceless!
