There’s nothing quite like those first few weeks at home with your baby. Lots of adjusting, cuddles and navigating a whole new way of life. This in-home newborn session in Kelowna captured all of that and more.

Photographing newborns in their own space allows us to create as relaxed experience as we possibly can. When you are postpartum and caring for a newborn for the first time, you already have a million things on your mind, so having your newborn photos in home can truly help eliminate some of that decision fatigue! No rushing out the door or worrying about the weather just the comfort of home, natural light & freedom to pause whenever needed.

Newborn sessions at home feel organic and gentle. They allow your story to unfold in the space where real life is happening. We always encourage you to feel like you can go about your routines: rocking, feeding, changing, playing, etc.

You don’t need to pack up a diaper bag or worry about leaving the house because everything you need is already with you. If your baby needs to nurse or settle down for a bit, there’s time for that. We’re not racing the sunset or working against a strict schedule. Instead we try to take a calm approach that prioritizes comfort for both parents and little ones.

You can:

• Stay cozy in your own home
• Nurse as you need
• Include siblings, pets & toys
• Wear comfy outfits (don’t have to worry about shoes!)
