When it comes to engagement photos, the location can make all the difference. When Brook she told me she wanted something unqiue, with a speakeasy vibe, I instantly thought of Bernie’s.
ABOUT THE VENUE (Bernie’s Kelowna)
Bernie’s Kelowna is a local gem that makes for the perfect date night, and was the perfect backdrop for engagement photos. With the dim lighting, retro-inspired decor and intimate atmosphere, it made for the perfect location. We leaned into the ambiance of the bar, taking photographs that used the dim lighting, which gave a soft and romantic feel. For a more playful, unique look I also shot photos using flash!
I must add, If you visit Bernie’s for dinner or a drink, you must try their “Big Warm Buns” as well as a martini! Both are fabulous.

So happy with how these photos turned out, truly a perfect engagement session. I love how the intimate feel of the venue brought out our ability to be creative and showcase the love between Brook and Josh. One of our fave photos was taken at one of the high top tables, with the letter board sign behind them reading “The world is your oyster”. Not planned but OH HOW CUTE for an engagement session.
