Chelsea & Luke are kind, welcoming & radiate love and joy in all their actions. They have been together forever, and this was the day they decided to get married with just their closest friends and family.
My favourite thing was that everything took place at their home, as it was the perfect spot to be able to host, yet was still close to orchards & the classic Kelowna views.
This was technically an “intimate wedding” but it really felt like an elopement because of how chill everything was.
Favourite details
I think sometimes people assume if you get married in your backyard, it won’t be as good as a venue, but I honestly think it is the best thing. You are able to relax, feel comfortable & still invest in decor and details that will actually have meaning after the wedding day.
I loved the boho theme they went with, with some of the highlights of their day being:
+ THE DECOR! Their entire house was filled with beautiful things, photos of the two of them and so cozy. I honestly feel like their place usually looks like this, but I was so impressed
+ They had one of their engagement photos recreated as an art piece which was such a cute decor piece
+ Custom candle favours with their wedding date on it. This is a favour people will use & oh so aesthetic
+ Bar with signature cocktails, ready to be made in a collection of vintage glasswear

The Ceremony
The Couple
We ended up using orchards that were right by Chelsea & Luke’s home, so we were able to walk to these locations! We went right in the afternoon when the sun was high for some sunny backlit images, and then again after sunset for a different look. I loved the sunlight highlighting the hills, and pouring through the orchard trees. Showcased the Kelowna feel we were going for.
During this time, we told Chelsea & Luke we wanted them to be able to have a moment to take everything in, chill and relax together. Because it was just the two of them (no wedding party!), it was easy for them to focus on one another.
This photo wasn’t planned or posed, these two are really that cute that they just happened to be dancing when I looked over
Recap:
+ Chelsea & Luke are the cutest
+ You don’t have to get married at a venue, sometimes eloping in your own home (or backyard) is the most comfortable thing
+ Kelowna orchard views are the perfect backdrop for photos
+ You don’t have to have a wedding party to make your friends & family feel included
