This weekend we ventured to Vancouver where we explored with our family some wonderful sights. The day began with Levi and I both picking up (almost) matching black sweatshirts. I already knew the day was off to a great start. Next we drove downtown, with our first stop being 49th parallel. Most got coffee and a donut from Lucky’s, but I held out waiting to get macarons.
Our next stop was Butter, the cutest bakery. She has written some beautiful cookbooks that I have been a fan of for a while now, and was pleasantly surprised upon learning that Butter is local to Vancouver. Today we finally got to check it out in real life. With beautiful floral wallpaper, hints of pink and pastels everywhere, it is truly a beautiful place to visit. While I was a bit disappointed to find out they did not sell macarons, I picked up a beautiful pink and gold container of buttercream blend tea and am very excited to try that.
Macarons were the next find. In my post about our Victoria trip, I talked about a shop called Bon Macaron. Today we found their Vancouver location. Levi knew I had to get the twelve pack os that I could eat a couple right away, and then also be able to have some to take pictures with (flay lay coming to my insta soon)
The rest of the day included watching the sunset at the beach (LOVELY), browsing through some cute shops, eating ramen for dinner and getting bubble tea for dessert.
Thanks for having us van city. We will be back again soon to experience some more new sights
